Allan (Shaw) Linder was given the Bank of America award at the age of eighteen along with a scholarship during his first exhibition. He was first taught how to paint by his mother who was a professional artist during the 1970s. Continuously moving and living in more than one fifth of the states, Linder’s family eventually settled in Los Angeles where he fervently began pursuing his career as an artist.

This is a photo of Linder contemplating his future twenty years ago.
